Dexin Zhou

Dexin was born in Beijing, China, and grew up in Victoria, British Columbia. She is currently completing a B.Sc. in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. In the fall of 2025, Dexin worked on a CHM295 group project investigating the kinetics of dye degradation catalyzed by titanium dioxide nanoparticles under UV irradiation. Joining the Rousseaux Group in the summer of 2026, Dexin is working on cyanating amide groups using disubstituted malononitriles. Outside of the lab, Dexin enjoys collecting bones, taxidermying insects, and cooking.
